ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Pamela Fields, Deputy Secretary-General, of U.S. CULCON Panel/ JUSFC is a binational advisory panel that serves to elevate and strengthen the vital cultural and educational foundations of the U.S.-Japan relationship, and to strengthen connections between U.S. and Japan leadership in those fields. It works to ensure that the best of new ideas for cultural, educational and intellectual activity and exchange are implemented as operational programs.

Established in 1961 to build stronger people-to-people ties between our two countries, CULCON has convened stakeholders in the U.S.-Japan relationship to encourage deeper cooperation in solving shared policy challenges, to develop better business practices, and to deepen the connections between civil society in the United States and Japan.

U.S. CULCON requested web development to celebrate 60 years of U.S.-Japan partnership in the form of a CULCON 60th Anniversary Timeline; the web design will have a dual purpose of being highly informational and informative as well as interactive, engaging and professional, celebrating 60 years of U.S.-Japan public-private partnership. U.S.-Japan people-to-people exchange has formed the foundation for one of the U.S.'s strongest alliances.
